Roma under the Social Care and Health Care systems
Roma minority in Bulgaria are disproportionally dependant on the Social care system to maintain the minimal living standard but their access to health and social services are restricted by both discriminatory attitude and prejudices among the governmental officials and legislative requirements constituting barriers towards receiving social and health services.  Monitoring Roma rights we can clearly testify that Roma social rights are violated on daily bases due both – social workers reluctance to pay necessary attention to their struggles and legislative criteria to access social system set for as the barrier that Roma persons cannot overcome themselves... Cases conserning State Social Agency
In cooperation with Mrs. Daniela Stankova, Director of the SSA – Svishtov it is established dispute resolution mechanism for cases concerning Roma rights violation conducted by the SSA employees.  Due to the case specifics, the litigation approach is hardly applicable to them.  SSA is the governmental structure responsible to administrate governmental relief funds to people with disability, to provide urgent grants /i.e. for medications, transportation, school etc.... Casse of Anche Petrova Hristova
Mrs. Anche Petrova Hristova, Romani women from the village of Radanovo has a menthally-disabled child. The Roma mediator in Radanovo village assisted her in fulfilling of applications for receiving a pension for the child and to register him in a school for mentally disabled children. Case of Stefanka Kostadinova Ivanova
Stefanka Ivanova, 50 year old Roma women from Polski Trambesh, long time unemployed that lives on welfare monthly allowances. During the night on 09.01.2008 she has received a paralytic stroke. Case of Donka Sergeeva
Ms. Donka Sergeeva, Romani teenage female from the orphanage in Posabina village has left the orphanage and stayed with her uncle in Radanovo village. She decides to leave her uncle’s house and go to Germany to look for work.
